How Can I Use E-Resources Outside the University?

If you wish to use the electronic resources from home, on a business trip, or from overseas, please log in through the VPN connection service.
Electronic resources that can be accessed from outside the University via VPN connection are basically marked with a "〇" in the "Remote Access" section of the electronic resource list. Electronic resources that are not marked with an "〇" cannot be used from outside the University.

How to Use

1. Please refer to the information at the General Information Processing Center to set up a VPN connection.
2. On the VPN connection service, enter your Shimane University Integrated Authentication System ID and password, and log in.
3. There are some electronic resources that are not available in "PaloAlto Global Protect", in that case please try "Cisco AnyConnect4".

• Please refrain from mass downloading. Unrightful use may result in the loss of access to electronic resources for the entire university.
• The Shimane University Integrated Authentication System ID and password are managed by the General Information Processing Center. For details, please refer to Integrated Authentication System.
• Students, faculty members, and staff on campus do not need to apply or log in previously to use the electronic resources via the university LAN.
