How Can I Use E-Resources?

Shimane University subscribes to a variety of electronic resources and provides them to students, faculty member and staff for their academic and research activities. Basically, these electronic resources can only be used from within the university. Students, faculty members, and staff on campus do not need to apply or log in previously to use the electronic resources via the university LAN.

How to Use
This is a rough guide to using the e-resources.
Please refer to each publisher's website for the operation procedures of each e-journal, e-book, and database.


Searching an E-Journal

1. Clicking "E-Journal/E-Books" on the Library HP or here.
2. Entering the periodical title you wish to read. When you search e-books, OPAC holds more information.
3. As a result, the periodical title, ISSN, the available period with the link to its publisher will be shown.

Searching an Article on a Database

1. Clicking "E-Resource" on the Library HP or here.
2. Entering the database name or choosing the category to narrow down.

Please refrain from mass downloading. Unrightful use may result in the loss of access to electronic resources for the entire university.
